Isadora... Where do I start?
I think Isadora is possibly the most simple yet complicated piece of software I have ever come across! The things you can do are phenomenal but it was a programme that I just couldn't get my head around!
You can make lights interact with sound and movement, or sound start depending on where you stand to trigger it or make something entirely screen based, so many things you can do, your imagination is the limit... But its just so COMPLICATED!
After following instructions to set up a stage, and add a projector that links to a video clip I started to get a little lost but after a few hours of messing around at home with the free version that doesn't let you save your work I started to get the hang of it.
The brief for this project was to create an Isadora project that someone can access from a computer based on the theme of the season, halloween. My group and I have decided to attempt to create a spooky house that the audience has to get through to rescue a friend and escape the zombies, it has almost got a game feel. At points along the way the story stops and the user has to make decisions about where to go. i.e. up the stars or down the hall. At one point the player will gain a key that they will later 'use' to open the door to rescue their friend, hopefully the two characters will get out of the zombie house unharmed....
